Touching nature

I live in Athens, basically in the center of the city.

I’m lucky enough to live in an apartment, where I can see nature from my balcony. My view is that of other flats and their gardens.

And most important of all, is that right in front of my balcony there are a couple of trees that my great-grandfather had planted, when the family’s house was still in this location.

It feels so precious to look at these trees and know that a member of your family planted them, decades before! It’s a special connection.

Like the one I have with nature, when even though I live in a big city, in the center of it, I can sit on my balcony and be a meter (max. two) away from birds, flying, singing and eating the fruits that great-grandpa planted!

Hey there, birdy!

One spring evening walk

Isn’t it amazing when nature blossoms?!

Spring!

Yesterday evening I was out. On my way back home I got an ice-cream and walked around the streets near my home.

Yes, spring is the night breeze, and the warmer weather, and people going out more, and many more. But lately all the trees have blossomed, you can smell all their aromas and that’s what magic is made off!

Those sunny mornings

I’m spending the weekend at my parent’s house. The house is surrounded by nature, trees, flowers and fields all around! And since it’s spring already, memories come back to me.

I remember years of sunny mornings, the sun entering through the windows. Warmth getting inside the house. Kind of an invitation to look out the window and admire the nature, while listening to all the birds singing.

And these mornings are still taking place, no matter how many years pass…!
